October 2025
Exciting news! This semester Pip Coen and Sarah Ruediger are launching a brand-new module:
BIOS0058: Sensory-Based Decision-Making in Animals
The course will explore how animals use sensory information to guide behavioural decisions. Students will get exposure to a range of model systems, cutting-edge neuroscience techniques, and basic principles of experimental design, while also building critical skills in evaluating analytic and methodological approaches.
We are really looking forward to getting started!

A warm welcome to all the new project students joining the lab this autumn!
We’re looking forward to an exciting term ahead, with Alethea, Ogulsuray, Pam, and Manav diving into questions on predictive coding and synaptic properties, Sibel and Yuheng helping to build and test new behavioural paradigms,
and Elliot focusing on brain state analysis.
