stdoctoral work, Sarah joined the lab of Dr Massimo Scanziani at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at the University of California San Diego and University of California San Francisco, USA.

Nils Nyberg

Postdoctoral researcher

Nils recently completed his PhD project at UCL, working with Prof Hugo Spiers and Dr Caswell Barry. Nils applies his expertise in electrophysiological, behavioural and computational techniques to delve into the neuronal underpinnings of sensory processing & behaviour.

Marianna Sidiropoulou

MSci student

Marianna is interested in strategies underlying visually guided behaviour. She is developing a novel paradigm to study goal-directed behaviour in freely moving mice and is an aspiring 'mouse whisperer'.

Arjan Dhesi

Research assistant

Arjan holds an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from The University of Edinburgh and a BEng in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Sheffield. He's enthusiastic to explore the relationship between brain activity and behaviour using publicly available datasets and contributes to the development of novel analytical tools and experimental setups.

Eleanor Benoit

PhD student

Ellie joined the lab in summer 2024 as part of the MRC DTP PhD programme. She focuses on visual processing and the circuit mechanisms underlying experience-dependent plasticity in the visual system using chronic Neuropixel recordings.

Szymon is interested applying data science approaches and programming to neuroscience data. He's joined the lab as a Msci Neuroscience student in autumn 2024.
