Sarah received her PhD from the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research in Basel, Switzerland. For her po

stdoctoral work, Sarah joined the lab of Dr Massimo Scanziani at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at the University of California San Diego and University of California San Francisco, USA.

Erica Brady, PhD

Postdoctoral researcher

Erica joined us in autumn 2025 from the Gladstone Institute in San Francisco, where she worked in Jorge Palop’s lab. She now applies her expertise in in vivo electrophysiology, visual processing, and mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease to investigate the neuronal underpinnings of sensory processing and behavioural strategies using chronic, large-scale Neuropixels recordings.

Elliot Pallister

PhD student (joint with Ernesto Ciabatti)

Elliot joined in 2026 and develops strategies to link the structure and function of visual circuits, combining viral tools, circuit reconstruction and neural activity measurements to understand sensory processing.

Ines Razafindrahaba

PhD student (joint with Aman Saleem)

Ines joined the lab in Autumn 2025 from the Francis Crick Institute, bringing a strong interest in the neural underpinnings of goal-directed and habitual behaviour.

Eleanor Benoit

PhD student

Ellie joined the lab in summer 2024 as part of the MRC DTP PhD programme. She focuses on visual processing and the circuit mechanisms underlying experience-dependent plasticity in the visual system using chronic Neuropixel recordings.
